From the Director's Office

As we welcome the New Year, all of us at Willington Public Library would like to wish our community a happy, healthy, and enriching year ahead. A new year offers a fresh start—and the perfect opportunity to rediscover the joy of reading.

Reading is more than a pastime; it’s a way to learn, relax, and connect with new ideas. Whether your goal is to read more for pleasure, explore a new genre, or share stories as a family, setting a reading resolution is a simple and rewarding way to begin the year. Our staff is always happy to help you find your next great read or suggest titles to support your goals through either Interlibrary Loan, or e-books through Libby.

February brings an annual celebration that is turning 15 Years Old: Take Your Child to the Library Day! This special day highlights the importance of introducing children to libraries early and encouraging a lifelong love of reading and learning. We look forward to welcoming families for a special program, crafts/activities, book browsing, and time spent together in the library.

Throughout the winter months, Willington Public Library will continue to offer a variety of programs for all ages, including children’s story times, crafts/activities, and adult programs designed to educate, inspire, and bring our community together. Winter is an ideal season to visit the library—whether you’re escaping the cold, spending time with others over a activity or program, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a good book.

Thank you for your continued support of Willington Public Library. We look forward to serving you in the year ahead and hope to see you often in 2026.
