Yoto was started by Ben and Filip, two dads with a shared background in the music industry united in that all-too-familiar tug of war between encouraging independent play in their kids and screen time. Influenced by the teachings of Maria Montessorri, the idea for a connected, screenless device that’d give children access to a whole world of audio felt like one that needed to be realized.
