Willington Hang It Art Gallery (WHAG)
How the Gallery Began:
The Willington Hang It Gallery began in February 2026. Our first show showcased professional paintersfrom the Art and Garden Tour. Each month new painters displayed beautiful work including a calligrapher.
Hang It’s! mission is to help libraries connect their galleries to one another in northeastern
Connecticut and share itineraries. This is a model library gallery with the ability to accommodate
up to 58 paintings. The area has an excellent Walker Hanging system, track lighting, security
cameras, etc. Artists have an opening with each show. We offer individual and group shows.
Art Shows for 2026:
September – WRAC Members show-viewing open to all.
October – Malcolm Tillis Collage – his work praised by curator of the Museum of Modern Art.
November – E.O. Smith High School Art Show -A very talented group of students.
December - SEA-son-al Marine Art Show – Nancy Bunnell, Julie Beckman and others.
Art Shows for 2027 are filling up fast!
We are especially looking forward to: April – Prison Arts, work from prisoners all over the state of Connecticut, a must see. We need your help to bring culture and the Arts to our area towns. Please join us!
